Easy Recipes for the Week
Sausage Marinara w/ Linguine (Feeds 5)
1 Beef Sausage 2 Lbs of Cooked Linguine 1-2 Jars of Marinara (Ragu,Prego,Etc.) 2 Cans of Diced Tomatoes 2 Tablespoons of Minced Garlic 1 Onion Sliced or Chopped 1 Tablespoon of Oil (Vegetable, Olive, Etc.) Salt and Pepper to Taste
In a large pan Brown Sliced Sausage, Garlic, Onions, and Tomaotes in oil until meat is browned and onions are tender(medium heat). Add salt & Pepper to taste. Add can(s) of Marinara sauce to mixture and let simmer for 10 minutes. Add mixture to cooked Linguine. Prep Time 20 Minutes.
Jamaican Jerk Pork Chops (Feeds 5)
1 Family Size Package of Pork Chops 1 Jar of Jamician Jerk seasoning 1 Tablespoon of Butter or Oil Salt & Pepper to Taste
In a large skillet pan heat oil or butter over medium heat. Coat pork chops with Jamaican Jerk seasoning (msg) free and salt & pepper. Fry in pan until juices run clear and meat is browned (Approx 10 minutes for each chop)
Cabbage Salad
1 Head of Cabbage 1 Package of Ramen Noodles (Chicken Flavored) 1 bunch of Green Onions 1 cup of Red Vine Vinegar 1/2 cup of Oil (Canola, Olive, etc.) 1 Tablespoon of Butter
Break the noodles by hand (this is fun for the kids) or a kitchen utensil while still in the packaging. In a small pan of medium heat brown the broken noodles in the butter, remove from heat. In small mixing bowl, combine Red Wine vinegar, oil, and powder mixture from the Ramen Noodle package (mix well). Wash and cut cabbage in shredding manner. Wash and dice Green Onions. Mix shredded cabbage and onions in large mixing bowl. Toss onions and cabbage with the oil and vinegar mixture. Top with cooked R noodles and salt & pepper to taste. Serve Immediately. Prep Time 10 Minutes.
CHEESY POTATOES 1 bag of frozen hashbrowns (thawed) 1 Family size can Cream of Chicken Soup (Campbells) 1 large onion (chopped) 1 container sour cream 1 stick of butter (melted) salt & pepper to taste crumbled up potato chips
Mix first six ingredients together in large pan & bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes (until top is light brown)...approximately 10 minutes before potatoes are ready to come out of oven, sprinkle potato chips on top & bake for remaining amount of time ENJOY!!!!
Veggie Bean Dip (YOUR KIDS WILL LOVE THIS! PROMISE!!)
Dice: 1 Red, Yellow & Green Pepper 4 stalks of celery ½ red onion
Mix in ½ bag of frozen white corn 1 can drained black beans 1 can drained black eyed peas
Heat just until sugar is melted 1 cup of cooking oil ½ c sugar ½ c cider vinegar
Mix all together – chill Serve with scoop tortilla chips.
